Interesting concept but it doesn't seem like it will deliver. ...

This was my first graphic novel that wasn't actually Manga. I thoroughly enjoyed the first volume and the premise of the story. It feels a bit rigid to read at the beginning, but once you get going it's pretty fluid. ...

This could have been one of my favorite graphic novels. It had all the things I love; old gods risen from obscurity, questions of faith and belief, and science scrambling to make sense of it all. And it burned itself down harder than a ranch in Waco, Tx. The premise is great. Wh...

God Is Dead. Provocative title aside (a nod I assume to German Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche) I really, really liked this book. Set in the near future it depicts the second coming of the ancient Gods & the apocalyptic consequences of them clashing with the current age of man. The...

God is dead starts off with a simple and solid premise, then just goes off the rails once the plot starts moving. It has the strange feel of a great idea, then at some point the writers go another idea, or were told something else would sell better and just changed their minds mid-stre...

I was seriously expecting more. I've never read anything by Jonathan Hickman before, and I probably won't ever again after this. The whole premise and idea for the story had so much potential, but the shallow writing ruined it. The story unfolded far too quickly. Characters were introd...

The artwork is amazing but my concern was with the story. Very cool premise but the plot kind of went all over the place. I also cannot even foresee how this story line can continue beyond where it left. ...

Intriguing debut issue ... The series may degenerate into 4 nerds in the gutter defeat the goa'uld but we shall see ... ...

Very, very Hickman. Crazy on a grand epic scale but very good. ...

I'm intrigued but only time will tell..... ...

I'm very excited to read this series, it holds such promise. how do you take on the gods of lore? what's left of the human race is about to try yo find out! great read! ...

The Gods have come back and there is an all out war... Violent bloody and just awesome.... Very dark interpretation of every pantheon. ...
